Creative Direction
My artist brand, Desert’s Blooming, offers original landscape paintings and prints that reflect the beauty in every season of life. I designed a joyful brand identity and a sleek site that lets the art be have the spotlight. I also conceptualized brand and product photoshoots to showcase my art and brand story. Now customers can have a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience that showcases the heart and personality behind the brand.

As I explored the depths of my creative inspiration, I discovered that joy, childlike wonder and self-expression are at my brand’s core.

I wanted the brand designs to incorporate these traits through playful, quirky type elements and a bright, cheerful color palette. I customized the font by extending the tails of a few letters so they snugly interlock as a cohesive logo.

Once the brand designs were complete, it was time to weave them into the Desert’s Blooming customer experience through a fresh ecommerce site. We customized the Studio theme on Shopify to include the brand’s new colors, fonts and logos. The site design pairs large-scale imagery with clean layouts that give the art pieces plenty of room to be the star.

For each art series, I conceptualized and exectued brand photography for Pinterest and Instagram campaigns and to display on my ecomm site. This involved coordinating rental spaces and photographers, directing shoots, and editing photos.
